Bio Overview
Greg Rogers is the founder of Market Entry Leaders Ltd and brings over 25 years’ experience across consultancy, corporate and government roles spanning international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI), economic development and innovation policy. He has more than 17 years of frontline, client‑facing FDI experience, having worked with national, regional and local Investment Promotion Agencies across the UK.

Since 2024, Greg has focused on helping Investment Promotion Agency teams apply Generative AI practically and responsibly to strengthen investor targeting, personalisation, consultative selling, project conversion and client service delivery. He is the creator of the Copilot for FDI Attraction Toolkit online course, a workflow‑led learning programme that combines deep FDI expertise and business development best practice with hands‑on Gen AI deployment to help teams work faster, think more strategically, and deliver higher‑value investor support.

Earlier in his career, Greg performed FDI consultancy roles with PA Consulting, EY, and Gateley Global advising new and existing investors across sectors including advanced manufacturing, energy, environment and infrastructure. He has experience leading a regional investment promotion service review, delivering a market entry programme and seminars for scaleups, and project managing inward investment marketing initiatives for a city IPA.

Greg worked as International Trade Business Development Manager for law firm Burges Salmon LLP successfully project managing a UK Trade Law Panel appointment bid with US law firm Arent Fox also advising the firm's head of trade on inward investment marketing and the delivery of sector briefings for the UK Department of International Trade.

Greg started his career in Westminster public affairs consultancy (Bell Pottinger and Connect) before specialising in innovation strategy development and programme evaluation consulting (CMI) for the Irish Government, Welsh Government, London Development Agency, English RDAs, and the European Commission. He holds a BSc in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath and an MSc in European Regional Development (ESRC scholarship) from Cardiff University, specialising in regional innovation policy.

Greg is part of the current cohort participating in the University of the West of England Launch Space business incubator where he is engaged in product development to help Investment Promotion Agencies to transform performance using Gen AI. This opportunity was awarded to Greg following his participation in the START business support entrepreneurship programme funded by the West of England Combined Authority and delivered in partnership with TechSPARK and the four universities in the region.
